Strong National Defense

According to the U.S. Constitution, national defense is the only mandatory function of the federal government. Article Four, Section Four states that the “United States shall guarantee to every State a republican form of government and shall protect each of them against invasion.”

Armed forces are servants of the security and freedom of our nation. When they carry out their duty honorably, they contribute to the common good and maintenance of peace.

Preservation of health, peace, harmony, and stability cannot be protected in a sovereign nation without a stout defense, and that includes suitably arming and supplying those charged with shielding and defending our citizens.
